SIA-approved security training in Birmingham
A four-day course held at our Birmingham venue, covering the core security guarding modules.
The security guard training allows a learner to apply for an SIA security guard licence, working in the UK security industry as a security guard.
The course runs over four days, 0900 to 1800 hrs, with three multiple-choice examinations. There are no formal entry requirements other than being 18 or above with a reasonable understanding of English.
Most learners opt for the door supervisor qualification instead, as it covers both door supervision and security guarding for a similar price.
No, depending on what you aim to do in the security industry you need an SIA licence in the respective field, which requires undergoing training.
Most supermarkets are licensed premises selling alcohol, so you would need a door supervisor licence rather than a security guarding licence.
Once we tell you that you have qualified, you can apply for your licence.
The qualification is set at Level 2, meaning it is an entry-level examination.
We give an English language assessment on the first day of training to let you know if you may be able to complete the qualification.
